Exciting Dock Updates!
October 30, 2024Yacht Haven Marina has been around for over 70 years. In 1946, the Port of Los Angeles opened up waterfront for the development of marinas. Bob Duni and Ed Rabbit, who were both engineers working for BF Goodrich, could see the potential a marina had to offer. After much hard work and sacrifice Yacht Haven was created in the Cerritos Channel area of the Los Angeles Harbor. Yacht Haven began as the 112 slip area “Dock 1,” and opened for business sometime in late 1946. Later, we added an addition 50 slips on “Dock 2.” In the early 1960s the Marina Café building was added, as well as the yacht sales office, which is now Seacoast Yacht Sales.
Yacht Haven Marina now has a third generation family member, Sarah Duni Bourland, who has been running day-to-day operations since 2013.
This marina has been in our family for three generations, we take care of it like it’s a family member. You may have noticed we’ve been doing work around the docks lately! Our decking project is underway, with some changes already completed. We love our marina, and we want to make sure it’s clean, secure, and kept up-to-date, ensuring you and your vessels are safe and sound!
Upgrades Completed: New dock boxes and power pedestals
Upgrade Underway: New decking and rubrails
